OFFICE MEMORANDUM.

 

Consequent upon the formation of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited w.e.f. 1.10.2000 DoT Cells have been formed vide OM No.34-31/2000-SEA-I DATED 28.9.2000. A copy of the OM is appended.

The DoT Cells are functioning in the Circle/Unit Hqrs of BSNL’s main accounting units. In order to enable the cells to function smoothly, certain basic infrastructure is required to be provided to them. Chairman (TC) has approved the provision of the following facilities to the DoT Cell.

 

1.     Suitable office accommodation in accordance with the scale of accommodation prescribed, preferably with proximity to the Telecom Accounts Branch at Circle Headquarters.

2.     Post attached quarters of appropriate type to the Head of the DoT Cell.

3.     Residential accommodation to the other employees of DoT cells as per their turn in a composite waiting list to be maintained by BSNL.

4.     Service telephone facilities for office as well as residence for the officers of the DoT Cell.

5.     FAX connection for the DoT Cell.

6.     Office furniture and computers with peripherals.

 

It is requested that necessary instructions may kindly be issued to the CGMs of Telecom Circles for providing these facilities to the DoT Cells.
